| Role Summary/Purpose: | This position is responsible to provide support to drive transformation of finance activities through standardization, systems automation and elimination of non-value added activities. This individual will assist and support the Finance Project Leader to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the GE Healthcare finance community |
| Essential Responsibilities: | - Support & assist regions to operationalize simplification actions locally - Support and drive regions to own the execution of project deliverables; establish & agree on a schedule of activities leading to completion, with clear milestones, deliverables, & acceptance defined criteria - Act as the primary contact & functional expert for your work stream or deliverables - Support Project Leader in collaboration with cross functions & work streams (e.g. OTR, Commercial, Advance Simplification) teams to ensure effective integration - Ensure knowledge transfer, documentation and retention are secured. - Assist in analyzing and evaluating requirements for system solutions and enhancements that improve business processes and/or provide increased controllership - Work with with IT to define detailed functional requirements based on customer needs - Leverage lean, simplification and six sigma tools to increase finance system effectiveness and productivity |
| Qualifications/Requirements: | - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year university/college with a concentration in Finance, IT, or Business - Graduate of GE's Financial Management Program (FMP) or graduate of other financial leadership programs and/or 2 years progressive business analyst work experience - Strong PC skills: Experience with financial systems/applications such as Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc. Strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (pivot tables, Vlookup, etc) - Self-starter, ability to work independently & take initiative in day-to-day work environment - Demonstrated analytical , process and problem solving skills - Results-oriented problem solver with the ability to work well under pressure. - Good interpersonal and communication skills and a team player |
