The Finance analyst will be a member of the newly created GE Healthcare Asia Finance Equipment Shared Services team based in Shanghai. The focus of this role is planning, forecasting and reporting of Other Variable Cost and headcount for GEHC APAC and expertise in key FP&A systems such as Hyperion, BOXI etc.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Own Other Variance Cost (OVC) quarterly forecasting, reporting and analysis aligning to APAC Operating review cycles

- Explain Variable cost productivity in CM Walk and analyze OVC trending in Operating review for zone P&L and Modality

- Identify and communicate cost risks and productivity opportunities to region CFO for proactive actions on cost management

- Lead the Hyperion cost planning and forecasting process for GEHC to ensure headcount and C&B tie out with HR; manage cost centers for all employees based in the APAC region; ensure accurate mapping in financial systems especially Hyperion

- Participate in simplification and productivity projects that will facilitate and increase capacity for value-added financial analysis

- Maintain OVC standards for APAC and benchmark global practice, drive correct account usage, booking and ledger based reporting

- Support APAC Equipment Finance Manager and team as needed. Including:
o Streamline and standardize costs requests and reporting;
o Support Global FP&A teams on monthly & quarterly cost submissions;
o Automate OVC related MJE and enhance closing efficiency
Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and minimum of three years of financial work experience

2. Healthcare or other GE business FP&A experience is a plus
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Desired Characteristics: 1. Experience working in a global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
2. Graduate of GE's Financial Management Program (FMP) or graduate of other financial leadership programs
3. Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
4. Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully led cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance function; able to quickly grasp new ideas
5. Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing
6. Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, VLookup, and Macros)
7. Fluency in English
8. Confidence / Assertiveness: possess influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives
9. Adaptable/flexible: being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
10. Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others
